    01 — The Brief

Cracked large glazed units on the façade of the Painter Building needed replacing, alongside a separate window replacement, while the building stayed open.

    02 — The Challenge

The units were large, heavy and set above a lightwell and public walkway, so lifting, access and exclusion zones had to be planned before any glass was released.

    03 — Our Response

We erected an access tower, set out controlled work zones, and used specialist vacuum lifting equipment with four engineers to remove the damaged units and install the replacements.

    04 — The Outcome

The new glazed units are installed and sealed, restoring a clean, consistent façade at street and lightwell level.
