Project Type
8th Floor Window Replacement
NZR was instructed to replace a leaking aluminium window on the 8th floor of a residential block in Brixton, London. The height and access restrictions meant the job needed full coordination across council, building management and our high-level access team.
The existing aluminium window had failed and was causing water ingress and deterioration around the frame. Access was only possible by cherry picker from the road — requiring a council parking suspension, pavement permits and live traffic management around an occupied building.
NZR arranged the council parking suspension and pavement permits, liaised directly with the building management team for sign-off, and mobilised a cherry picker with full safety signage and barriers. The failed unit was removed at height, the aperture made good, and a new aluminium window supplied and installed with full perimeter weather sealing.
All works were completed safely and within a single day, with no disruption to residents or the surrounding area. The leak was eliminated and the new unit matched the existing block fenestration for a clean finish from street level.
High-level aluminium window replacement coordinated across council permits, building management and cherry picker access — completed in one day with zero resident disruption.
